.... That night when he woke up in ghastly fear of paralysis.
Significance of a story told, was his to ponder deep.
As he fell asleep again, he felt her icy lips ‘pon his.
Up and down his dreams so real.
Frost upwards his spine it creeps.
Yet, he sees beauty.
In the midst of a darkening stare.
Should he give in?
To the spirit’s hypnotic voice.
Sweat drenched his hair.
As he finally wakes from this nightmare.
Sy woord, sy eer
Laat hom vir ewig, eindeloos treur
(Exhausted, Franz proclaimed:)
“Ek het vrees diep binne my siel wat terug wil draai, maar vir haar hart sal ek die berg stuk vir stuk uitklim.”
Packed his gear when dawn arrived, forgets the fear he felt before.
Dispels the ghost of dreams he had.
Prepared for the journey for whom he adores.
As he scaled from the mountain’s feet.
Step for step, ledge by ledge.
Focussed, possessed... down came the sleet.
Driven by his solemn pledge, he wanders on towards his death.
Gleaming in the dim moonlight, the flower whispers his poor name.
(The tired man further said:)
“I’m not certain anymore if I could reach the top, yet my spirit cries aloud the name of Eliza.”
(Pouring him on, the spirit enthused:)
“Yes!! You must continue forth. I will lend a helping hand to get you through this ordeal of pain and suffering.
You seek the love of the one I claimed but my peers banished me. Let me speak lies of encouragement so that you may find falsified peace.”
Franz is within its grasp.
He can feel the Disa in his embrace.
Just a few inches more.
But his mortal body wants to give in.
His final grasp, his last chance.
Suddenly the mountain gives away.
Swiftly he falls.
Jagged boulders greet his penultimate breath.

The Netherlands black metal masters return with a bombastic and symphonic masterpiece, taking on the Frankensteins' monster tale with their own sadistic twist.
Razor sharp guitars and machine gun blast beats mix perfectly with synths to create something beautifully melancholic and horrific. Abyssius Murkraken

The album as a whole is great, but the title track is phenomenal--one of the best melodic metal songs I've ever heard. 和美's ethereal voice is the perfect complement to vvildr's growling vocals and masterful instrumentation. More, please! Malcolm McCrimmon
